APPEAL
Of the Vilnius Council of SAJUDIS
INDEPENDENCE OF CHECHENYA
Vilnius 06/10/2007
With great sorrow all HUMANITY commemorates 3000 perished on 11 September
2001 in the course of the terrorist attack in the USA. Since then
governments of many countries have been taken measures against terrorism.
250 thousand
Chechen people have been killed by the Russian Armed Forces since
11/12/1994;
the country has suffered a material damage of about 300 billion US dollars.
Millions of people, thousands of public organizations condemn Russia for the
genocide in the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, they appeal to the leaders and
heads of states to make Russia give independence to Chechnya, withdraw its
forces from there and compensate for all damages.
For independence of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria
fights the European boxing champion and human right activist Said-Emin
Ibragimov. Risking his health he embarked on a long-term hunger strike.
After the long-lasting hunger strike he was brought to the intensive care
unit.
The little Chechen state has become an example of the struggle for freedom
for the whole world. Chechnya has become an object of world separation.
Could it be true that the killed Chechen people have become petty cash for
the big countries? We want the other countries to commemorate the victims of
the 11 September in the USA. Therefore the 250 thousand victims put on the
chancel of Chechnya’s freedom have to be marked by the worldwide Declaration
of Independence of Chechnya.
Chechen people, who are the greatest heroes of
liberation wars against enslavement, show an example of the fight for
freedom of their country to the whole world. The glorious and heroic fight
of S-E. Ibragimov is a new star in the constellation of liberation wars.
Glory to all fighters for freedom of their countries! Glory to Said-Emin
Ibragimov! Independence to all nations who fight for their freedom!
Dear leaders of states and organizations, lets look for
ways of making the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria independent.
Dear Said-Emin Ibragimov, we wish you good health and
happiness to your nation. We prey God asking for Peace and Blessing.
