     Concerning imprisoned and convicted Ukrainian citizens in Russia

Vilnius, 16-09-2015

     On August 25, 2015 a military court in Rostov-on-Don illegally sentenced Oleh Sentsov to 20 years deprivation of liberty, and Olexander Kol'chenko - to 10 years.
     Please also note that the deputy of the Parliament of Ukraine and the member of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, aviatrix Nadiya Savchenko is illegally detained.
     They became the political prisoners of Russia in course of the Russian aggression in Ukraine.
     We reiterate our condemnation of the fact that Russia continues to detain Ukrainian hostages inside the country.
The Russian Federation continues to grossly violate human rights and has been transformed into a totalitarian state.
In this regard, we call on the parliaments of foreign countries, heads of countries and international parliamentary assemblies:
     To support Ukraine's efforts aimed at the release of the Ukrainian citizens illegally detained in the Russian Federation;
     To condemn vigorously the illegal trials and illegal detentions of the Ukrainian citizens Nadiya Savchenko, Oleh  Sentsov, Olexander Kol'chenko, Mykola Karpyuk, Ahtem Chiygoz, Ali Asanov, Mustafa Degermendzhy and others;
     We demand from the Russian Federation to stop aggression against Ukraine, immediately and unconditionally to release all political prisoners and hostages, to abandon the practice of neglecting the rules and principles of international law, to bring to responsibility the perpetrators of human rights violations,
     We ask to bring to responsibility the perpetrators of gross human rights violations, tortures and intimidation, pressure and illegal persecution and crimes against humanity committed since the beginning of the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
